As standard, it is supplied with the #1 PVC, #2B New & Improved Aluminium Composite and #6 20mm Foamboard tool heads.

The #3A V-Groove, #3B Acrylic, #3C Glass and #5 Aluminium are available to purchase as optional extras.

#3A V-Groove Aluminium Composite Tool Head

V-Grooves aluminium composite (great for making tray signs), PVC foamboard, corrugated plastics and more. The V-Groove blade can be adjusted to V-Groove all thicknesses of ACM - 2mm, 3mm, 4mm and 6mm. Supplied fitted with one V-Groove blade.

#3B Score and Snap Acrylic Tool Head

Scores acrylic up to 6mm thick for a "score and break" finish. Supplied fitted with one scoring blade.

#3C Score and Snap Glass Tool Head

Scores glass up to 6mm thick for a "score and break" finish. Supplied fitted with one glass scoring wheel.

#5 Sheet Aluminium Tool Head

Cuts solid aluminium up to 1mm thick. Supplied fitted with one wheel set.

#1 PVC Tool Head

Cuts PVC foam board, semi-rigid plastics and similar materials up to 10mm thick.

#2B Aluminium Composite Tool Head *NEW & Improved - March 2023*

Newly modified cutting head - cuts Aluminium Composite (ACM, ACP, Dibond etc), magnetic sheet up to 4mm thick and MDF up to 3mm thick.

Reduces the bend on the offcut
Reduces the effort to cut some of the more challenging brands of ACM

When the first twin wheel cutter was introduced over 25 years ago, there were only two or three brands of ACM available but now the options appear endless.

There are now many differences in the quality, thickness and compositions of both the aluminium skins and plastic cores added to the already wide dimensional tolerances of 2mm on width, 3mm on length and 5mm from corner to corner have turned a once easy-to-cut material into a challenge.

As far as cutting is concerned, cheaper doesn't make it easier or more difficult to cut - just different.

For the best results, use with the new Quick Clamps.

2B Cutting Head & new Quick Clamps are included with any Apollo purchased from 1st March 2023 onwards. They can be purchased separately to use with any machine purchased prior to this date to improve cutting.

#6 20mm Foamboard Tool Head

Cuts PVC foam, corrugated plastics, foamboard and honeycomb board up to 20mm thick.
