Innovative design stepped and ribbed wooden dowels that act like 'wooden nails' to strengthen joints on wooden projects, such as making signs with wood framing. Helps to product strong, secure, long-lasting joints with little fuss. Eliminates the problem of compression or slipping that you can experience using traditional dowel joints.
Once inserted with wood glue into your pre-drilled hole, the moisture from the glue will cause the dowels to swell and the ribs will grip to the internal structure of the hole to lock them into place.
This colour coded wood fixing is self-capping so once fully inserted into place, simply trim if needed and sand off to level.
Suitable for use with our Wood Framing (hardwood and softwood) and other woods from 16mm - 26mm thick.
Interior or exterior use.
Oak finish.

How to use:
- Clamp or hold together the pieces to be joined
- Drill hole in substrate using the Stepped Drill Bit for Wooden Dowels
- Apply a thin layer of Titebond III Waterproof Wood Glue to the ribbed section of the Dowel
- Tap the Dowel into the drilled hole until fully secured
- Trim/sand until level to finish if required
Note - The key to a strong and tidy joint is good and accurate surface preparation of the joining surfaces.
