Connects parallel panels where the emphasis is on strength. Highly versatile, it can be surface-mounted or semi-rebated into the panel, orientated for vertical or sideways assembly.

Suitable for 5mm countersunk wood screws.

Tested and warranted for internal use only. Button-fix can be used outside for sign panels if not subjected to direct sunlight, but will not be covered by warranty. Please get in touch for further assistance with external applications if required.

The Button-fix concept is simple:

The Button-fix marker tool accessory is also available and helps to quickly and accurately align the Button-fix installation, reducing the need for measuring and marking out. Snap a marker into each Fix, then position the second panel and press firmly. The marker points will leave indents in the panel surface, which can be used as pilot guides for the Buttons

As an approximate guide, we suggest that Button-fix centres are no greater than 600mm apart and no closer than 35mm to the edge of the panel.

Always remember to allow at least 15mm clearance for the removable panel to disengage.

Suitable adhesives:

The Fix is manufactured in ABS plastic. There are many structural adhesives suitable for bonding it to a wide range of panel materials e.g. a 2-part structural acrylic adhesive (Penloc, 3M Scotch-Weld) or a matched adhesive for solid surface.

Always refer to the adhesive manufacturer's recommendations on substrate suitability, preparation and loadings.
